1. Introduction

The purpose of Peer Reviews is to detect and remove defects early in software work products, thereby improving quality and reducing rework costs. Peer Reviews also help team members develop a shared understanding of the work products and promote defect prevention practices.

2. Purpose, Goals, and Objective

Peer Reviews involve a methodical examination of software work products by peers to identify defects and areas where changes are needed. The specific products that will undergo a peer review are identified in the project's defined software process or project charter and scheduled as part of the software project planning activities.

3. Policies

The Peer Reviews schedule has to be shared with the stakeholders and everyone working on those work products. There is a privilege of performing a surprise Peer Review on the declared work product in the project charter, but that has to be initiated 2 hours before the scheduled time.

4. Work Product

The work product of the Enovate for Peer Reviews is,

  • Review Schedule: A schedule shall be prepared for reviews of all work products listed in the plan for Peer Reviews and should be shared with the stakeholders.
